A Cumbrian winery
High Cup Winery enjoys stunning views across the Eden Valley to the Lakeland hills. The valley has been cut by the River Eden into red Triassic sandstone which is situated between the older rocks of the Lakeland Fells in the west and those of the Pennines in the east. To the north can be seen Dufton Pike with the small, attractive village of Dufton at its base. Facilities at Dufton include the Stag Inn, the Youth Hostel and a variety of Bed & Breakfast accommodation.
The nearest town is Appleby-in-Westmorland, a distance of 4 miles by road, but half that distance on quiet footpaths. Appleby boasts a variety of essential shops, a post office, pubs, cafes and restaurants.
