Ron Barker

RonRon is a winemaker of lifelong experience, famously getting his sixth form contemporaries drunk on rhubarb wine in 1964. Since graduation in 1967 he has worked as an environmental geophysicist in a variety of research and consultancy projects, ending up in university teaching and running the MSc course in Applied Geophysics at the University of Birmingham. On taking early retirement in 2005 he attended a part-time course in commercial winemaking at Plumpton Agricultural College near Brighton and then commenced making fruit wines at Townhead Farm.
