A Cumbrian winery
We are passionate about the ingredients used in the production of our wines and wherever possible we use fruit from our own small farm. However, when we need more, fruit is brought in from elsewhere in Cumbria. We can claim that all our wine is made from Cumbrian fruit.
A light, medium-dry wine with delicate gooseberry flavour.
A dry white wine with elderberry aroma and flavour.
A light, medium, white wine, rich in elderflower aroma and flavour, with a hint of apple, giving it a delightful bouquet of summer hedgerows. Elderflower and Apple wine is a good anytime wine, particularly suitable for refreshment on a summer day!
Our Rhubarb wine is a medium, blush wine with a good aroma and flavour of rhubarb.
A zesty, medium, rosé wine, full of raspberry aroma and flavour.
A dry red wine with a rich elderberry aroma and flavour. This medium-bodied wine has many of the health-giving properties of the elderberry. It goes well (cooking as well as eating!) with lamb, beef, venison and Cumberland sausage.
A tangy sweet light red wine with a rich damson aroma and flavour. Damson wine is suitable as a dessert or after-dinner drink. This wine is made from local damsons.
A delicious, spiced and sweetened, ready-to-drink beetroot wine. This wine is designed to be served warmed to around 70C, although it can also be drunk cold. We suggest a 125ml glassful heated in the microwave for about 40 seconds.
Our wines may now be purchased from our on-line shop.
Cash and cheque sales only at the winery.
